Reggae Redux- Charitability!
Gen Hydro sold this year’s Reggae Rising t-shirts with the new General Organics art. They were in hot demand, and the proceeds went to a great cause. Kiva makes microloans for entrepreneurs around the world.
According to their website, “Kiva is the world’s first person-to-person micro-lending website, empowering individuals to lend directly to unique entrepreneurs around the globe . . . [Y]ou are helping a real person make great strides towards economic independence and improve life for themselves, their family, and their community.”
It’s a great organization that empowers people through their own hard work. I am glad GH chose such a great organization to donate to with their awesome wearable art.

Microcredits are one of the best things that arose in the past, to help people get on their own two feet. Kiva seems to takes the anonymity out of the business, something only the Internet could really do and I hope they are a big success.
