Hey, so these won’t be in stores until at least late July. But, check with http://www.eastcoasthydro.com. They are in Florida, and they are great!

Fox Farm was semi-organic and was the standard for organic hydro. Bio Bizz was ok, but was mediocre for results. From the buzz on the street, GO is shaping to be the best in the organic hydro market. With calmag treatment it can be the standard for coco use. With my ear to the rail, I think this is one of the most versatile and effective lines I have heard so far.

would like to know thoughts on using chemical pH adjusters with the GO lineup. It seems to me that it would be counterproductive. I recieved my free samples of GO but I don’t want to use it until I’m sure on pH. I grow in soil, and when all ingredients are mixed together, the pH of the solution is around 5.3, I would like my mix to be around 6.5, but don’t want to use chems, and hurt the microbial life. Any suggestions? Or will GO be putting out organic pH adjusters?

Are you growing in soil, or hydro? In a healthy soil, the pH is being regulated by the plant in the root zone. Don’t worry about manipulating the pH and do not use chemical pH Up or Down products with your General Organics solution. Let us know how your garden is doing!

I’m growing in hydro, and when I used the veg combined with the cal/mag it put my reservoir water solution way down. I used some up chem to stabilize it. Should I not do this in the future? Also, are there any of the solutions (bioweed, biomarine, diamond black, etc.) that I shouldn’t be using with hydro? I thought I remembered reading a thread somewhere that said not to use one or two in a reservoir because it may plug up pumps or something. What are you recommendations for hydro use? Thanks!

I’m using an ebb and flow system, with the tray filled with perlite, ebbing and flowing through hyrdroton just around the drains. The Bio line consistently brings my reservoir to 7-7.5. I recently bought an organic up and down, and I have been using that.

go with Earth Juice’s ph Up and Down crystals for an organic solution to pH adjustment.

So, My water pH out of the tap is 7.5ish and when I add the Biothrive bloom, Bioweed, and Biobud the pH drops to about 4.5ish. Now their saying to add a mixture that acidic to the Coco coir without pH adjusting? But when I called GH today the woman I talked to said to adjust my waters pH before I added the Nutes. So I did. Adjusted to 6.0, and added the nutes, and it dropped to 4ish. Now can someone explain to me why I should go pour that into my plants that I love without adjusting pH up??? would that not just wreak havoc on them? I would like to know the hows, and whys. I’m not prone to jump off a cliff just because other people are. I would like a real reason. not just that ‘you just should” answer.
Thanx in advance for anyone who can help with this. I’d really like to use this line, but if I cant find any factual info on pH adjustment with this product I’ll unfortunatly drop the line for something else.
Thanx

When using the GO line, pH adjustment is not necessary in a biologically active soil or soilless medium. When using Coco, it’s not a bad idea to inoculate with our SubCultures M & B to bolster microbial populations. The biological activity which comes from microbial life within the medium, consumes the food provided by the GO line of products. Once the microbial digestion occurs, exudates from the fungi and bacteria are ingested by the plant in the form of food.
This is different than feeding with traditional hydroponic nutrients, such as our Flora Series. When gardening with mineral based nutrition, pH is the basis for nutrient uptake. This is because the nutrients are ionically charged, and the proper pH is necessary for root absorption of the food. This is also why nutrient strength monitoring (EC/PPM/TDS) is a good idea when using a mineral based nutrient, whether in soil, soilless, or hydroponics.
With your Coco medium, be sure to use the CaMg+. You can safely feed at 2X label recommendations for all products in the GO line, except for the BioWeed and BioBud. They are enhancement products, so be sure to follow label recommendations.
Happy Growing!

Hello Andy, Thanks for answering questions.
Should I be using Diamond Black in my Ebb and Flow with Hydroton? I am running the entire lineup except for the Diamond Black, I am using fulvic acid from the store. I have read that the diamond black clogs up the system. Is that true? Thanks!
