Archive Photo: Bees in the Greenhouse

I thought I’d share a photo from the 90′s. I love the GH photo archive, and I have to say, after finding this shot, I’m going to start begging for a new hive!

I love bees. They haven’t had the colony collapse in the Midwest like when I lived up in the frosty North. That would be a great pollinator and it would be amazing to harvest the fruits of your little yellow friend’s labor.

Yesterday I stood a while at our Lovage plant and watched the bees having a feast. That, and the sage are big bee attractors in our garden. They seem to ignore me so I often have a close look. I hope they recover and spread again.
