Figs
There is a black mission fig tree here at GH, and the figs are looking plump. They are not yet ripe, but they look great. I wrote about my favorite salad, using grilled figs and speckled trout lettuce, back in the winter. Click here to read the recipe.

The lilies finally opened!
I’ve been watching the asiatic lilies since they were first planted, and today when I came in, I saw they had bloomed. They are so beautiful. They have really thrived in their Coco Baskets. I can’t wait to see what other colors will appear.

New Lettuce and Basil Starts
Darek, our greenhouse operator, is getting some fresh starts going for some new experiments. He stuck some seeds into the Rapid Rooter trays, and they are sitting in the ebb and flow until they are ready for transplant.

A truck full of product
Everyday at GH there are tons of product leaving here, destined for different places across the country. This truck is loaded up with FloraSeries, and is heading out for British Columbia. Pallets of 6 packs are heading off to make some plants really happy!

Squash Blossoms are Delicious!
One of my favorite summertime foods is the stuffed squash blossom. And when you are growing hydro squash, there are lots of blossoms to eat!
