Clematis

Clematis is one of my favorite plants. They are a climbing vine, and they come in different, distinct, growing and blooming habits. There is one blooming in front of GH right now that is very, very beautiful. I have found that these flowers in particular take well to being fed high strength food. They love to grow, and they love to bloom, and they love to eat.

This burgundy  version is climbing up a post at the office.

The buds are covered in tiny hairs. They look so soft!

The white fluffy center looks like a flower within a flower.

This blue one is in a container in my yard. Nat took this shot in ’05. It’s called Multi Blue.

Beefsteaks have been the most nute tolerant variety I have tried so far. I would love to pick some of these up just to be able to push the nutrients for my own tests. And they are beautiful to boot!
