We spend a significant bit of our money on mushrooms and cheese. We eat a lot of shitake, enoki, oysters, and Portabellas. Oyster mushrooms are actually native to the Midwest, and we have had them wild a couple of times. Great video!

Mushrooms are amazing! We cultivate a couple of them Shiitake, Lion’s Mane, Reishi and Oyster. It’s always impressive to see how they alter through their lifespan and it’s a delicious hobby, too.

Is it just me, or do wild mushrooms taste totally different from their cultivated counterparts? I’ve only tested chantrelles….. One wasn’t better than the other, but they were quite different.
