Earth Hour
Earth Hour on Saturday was a complete success. I will admit, I am often “eco-skeptical” about gimmicks and tricks and buzz words like “green.” But I loved participating; shutting off my power for an hour really made me feel connected with like minded people around the globe.

I wanted to keep it easy, so I just flipped the breaker off at my house. And it was actually pretty funny, because I found myself still reaching for the light switch when I walked into a room. To keep it fun, we sat outside in our wood fired hot tub. It uses no electricity, just a raging fire, and it circulates the water using thermo currents. Very eco chic, very “green.”
Please, leave a comment and let us know if you participated in Earth Hour!

I missed out on the fun as well. Me and Al Gore with all of our lights on during Earth Hour. The only difference is I didn’t win a Nobel Prize. Nor was I the Vice President of the US. Come to think of it, I have nothing in common with Al Gore other than a bunch of good intentions and we all know about good intentions. They pave the road to hell.

I heard on the news today that Al Gore didn’t join in the poorly lit solidarity at his estate in Tennessee.
