The New WaterPOWER Pump

In the last year, General Hydroponics has introduced new pumps, the WaterPOWER pump 85 and WaterPOWER 120. These new pumps have a lower failure rate and are one of the most dependable pumps on the market.

One of the greatest improvements is the superior impeller design. The new impeller is more beefy and and has more reliable inner workings. It’s versatile, one side of the adapter is for pipe thread, and the other side is for machine thread. Be sure to seat the adapter gasket when assembling everything. The WaterPOWER pumps also come with more supplies, including an extra sponge, 1 inch fittings, and an extra impeller.

I opened one up and shot some photos. It came apart and went back together very easily.

Pry it open.

The sponge sits in the end.

Twist to open the inner chamber.

Separate the parts by pulling the magnets apart.

Here’s the impeller.

The impeller and its washer easily seperate from the ceramic shaft.

Ohh, fancy. I have a problem with pumps that die. I would love to pick a few of these up.
